Ginger Jar has Rose color (pink) underglaze covering over fine quality white porcelain body with window design of English couple in the garden. Design done by transfer. Window as well as around Ginger jar are decorated with 12 rose plus one on top of cover which 13 rode gold design. Window, cover rim and top jar has gold decoration. It has the marking on the bottom, MADE FOR MELROSE LTD, Edinburgh Scotland by gold. The cover of Ginger Jar has Colk seal so you can keep Tea inside Ginger Jar. The condition of Ginger Jar excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. Lid tightly close, so you can keep tea inside. Please note there are some underglaze pink not fully applied on lower jar area which our photo showing. It is hard to handle underglaze. It is lovely Ginger Jar. Underglazing work solid color is harder than spraying over the porcelain. Dating of Ginger jar from 1975’s. Ginger Jar originally had Tea inside. All Gold rose design has no wear.
