The size of Charger: 12 3/8" Dia x 1 3/4" High. Very Fine Japanese Aote Kutani Charger. Aote is green in Kutani ware terminology which was Miyamoto kiln originated. The charger is made with fine crackle glazing earthenware body finish as many Kutani piece in modern age. It has wonderful workmenship and design of Oshidori(mandarin duck) with Plum tree and bamboo. It has fine handpainted decoration of enamels. The plate was decorated with Kutani artist name Kitamoto Gakuyo. The signed marking is Gakuyo-zo(Gakuyo made). The condition of charger is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline as well as no hairline. Mint condition. Nice wooden stand including in the price. Dating from 1970's.
