Very Fine Japanese Hosoji Writing Sake Cup by Meizan, Kutani

The size of Sake Cup : 1 7/8" Dia x 2 3/8"High. This is finely made Japanese Porcelain Kutani Sake Cup with fine Hosoji Poems writing by Meizan with Waka (Japanese Poems). There are total of 4 Japanese Waka Poems from Hyakunin Isshu(101 peoms). The cup has gold networks(Amime) over red background. Inside cup has following Waka, 4 poems which are finely written in Hosoji (fine brush writing) which take fine trained artist. I have listed each poem with number of 101 poems and who created each poem. The condition of cup excellent, no chip no crack and no hairline. There is marking on the bottom cup with Kutani Meizan. Meizan (real name Yamamoto Kazuaki, born 1932-unknown.He is one of formost Hosoji writing artist on Sake Cup. It came with Kiri (paulownia) wood Tomobako . The top of cover written Japanese, Kutani Yaki (Kutani ware), Guinomi (sake cup). Meizan signature with his chop seal.Please note Poem is written right to left order. Dating from 1965-75's. Amazing work.
