Japanese Flower Vase in Tsuzumi Shape by 2nd Ito Tozan

The size of Vase: 8 7/8" H x 5 5/16 " Dia top (22.5 cm x 13.5 cm)
This vase is in the shape of Tsuzumi (hand drum).
It is finely made with Stoneware. It is made by Ito Tozan 2nd (1871-1927).
The condition of Vase is excellent. There is one black spot at lower body.
at 12th photo. It came with Tomobako. The cover top said in Japanese,
"Tozan zo(made)" signature with seal of Tozan. The bottom of vase
has embossed seal of Tozan as well.

Ito Tozan II (1871-1937)
was born as 4 th son of Zeze Clan chief retainer.
Before he became Ceramist, he studied Nihon Ga(Japanese Painting).
He became adopted son of Ito Tozan 1st. He studied under Tozan 1st.
In 1920 with 1st Tozan he contributed for the reconstruction of Zeze Yohen.
He passed away at the age of 68 in 1937.
