Mulberry Street
Mulberry Street is a principal thoroughfare in Manhattan in New York City. It is heavily associated with Italian-American culture and history and is often considered the heart of Manhattan's Little Italy. The street was listed on maps of the area since at least 1755. The serigraph depicted the street scene from 1900.

Linnea Pergola(1953- ) Ms. Pergola was born in Los Angels, California and she lived there for the greater part of her life. That tenure gave Pergola an intimate regard for things urban. She loves the atmosphere, life styles, architecture, lights and energy of city life which provides her with inspiration and ignites her imagination. Her uniquely original technique combines pen and India ink with the brilliant coloration using oil paint. Those, combined with her fine brush technique, give drama to her work in depicting heartwarming subjects and naively portrayed scenes. Pergola's ability to express cities and the environment as nostalgic has captured the imagination of many and is likely to expand in the years to come.
