Rare Japanese Ko Imari Genroku Sometsuke Koro, Incenser

The size of Koro: 3 1/8” Dia x 2 1/2” High (top of Koro) without cover height.. This is rare Japanese Genroku Sometsuke Koro, Incense burner with Koro cover. Koro Cover is silver plated, not Jungin (sterling silver) with the design of clouds, open work. The Clouds on cover has been carved. TheCoveris not from Genroku period. but it is old. Koro came with Awasebako (fitting box). The Koro was made by Sometsuke, blue underglaze Karakusa (Chinese grass) design. It is made from 1700,’s, Genroku period (1688-1703). The condition of Koro excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. It is rare to find Ko Imari Koro from Genroku period.
