Provenance of cup is from my own collection since 1972 when I worked at Importer of Decorative Art in Dallas, Texas. I had this set since then. When Richard Nixon visited China in 1972. My old boss was already in China thru Hong Kong thru by his agent have purchased Chinese porcelain of all kind vase, plates, dishes, Ivory carvings (vegetable with grass hopper etc.), Jade carvings, Snuff Bottle (including horn bill snuff bottle), and paintings. They were all stored in China and imported as soon as US-China started trading. He was a first person who imported Chinese Antiques of Red China. I worked in his warehouse and opened all of these Chinese goods. This is a set I purchased then. It has been stored away last 47 years, never been used during these years.
