The size of Lacquer Stand: 8 5/16" Square x 2 3/8" High. Beautiful Japanese Lacquer, Makie Stand with Japanese Mon design in three different finishs. Two gold tones finish and two silver finish. Mon is style of Kanji "I". The corner of Kanji up. The stand has Nashiji open square part on the top of stand. The size wall of top also has Nashiji finish as well. The stand was probablly used for service type tray. The condition of stand excellent. There is a couple of nick at the side. Inside sectional corner lines has been sealed from separation which can not be seen from outside. The top has little beit wear spot. But overall condition not much scratch for Lacquer stand from late Edo. Very little wobble. Dating from Late Edo. 1840-1850's. |
