The size of Plate: 7 1/4" Dia x 1 3/4" High. Rare Fine Japanese Ai Kakiemon(Blue Kakiemon) Porcelain Plate. Plate was made with fine quality porcelain body. It has finely painted Hanakarakusa desing in blue underglaze(Sometsuke). The rim area with Kaminarimon(thunder design). The backside has double line karakusa design. It is marked Tai Min Seika Nensei. The condition of plate excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. One little spot at 5 o'clock has very very slight indentation on the edge which has completely glazed. The surface has little age wear. Dating from Edo Chuki(middle Edo), Genroku period, 1690-1710. |
