The size of Fubako: 8" L x 3" W x 1 3/8" H. Beautiful Japanese Roiro Makie Fubako. Fubako(letter box) has Roiro(black) makie with nice nashiji work inside. It has three Taka-makie Mon design. Mon is the design of Tachibana, flower of tangerin. The red wide silk tassel. The tassel is going thru the flat hole on the bottom of inside box. Very attractive. It came with matching wooden box( not originally made for this fubako). The condition of Fubako excellent, no crack, no hairline. Very little wear. A couple of tiny wear spots at edge.
