| The size of Futamono(covered bowl): 4 1/2" L x 4 1/4" W x 3 1/2" H. Very fine work Japanese Porcelain Hirado Futamono(covered bowl) in the design of Awabi(abalone). It is wonderfully detail works in every section of Futamono. The top area edge showing as looks like missing but it is the way made with completely glazed. The each area works are finely done. The blue area are done by blue underglazing. Brown are done by Tetsuyu (iron glazing). The condition of Awabi, excellent, no chip, no cracn and no hairline. There is a coule of original kiln line in the body in the processing of drying the bisque. Dating from Edo period, around late 18th to mid 19th century. | |||||||||||||||
