The size of Robe: 71 1/2" Long x 53" Wide(sleeve to sleave, Waist line 24" Wide.
Sleeve : 40"
Long x 13" Wide.
Beautiful and high quality Japanese Silk Uchikake Robe ever seen. It has the design of Bridge and Screen with Botan(Peony) design
in various colors. There is silver and gold thread are used. It is all silk
made. There are several pink cherry blossom design on the background which
are done in Some(dyed). The peony petals are done in bokashi finish,
gradation of using different silk colors. It is amazing Uchikake. The background of robe is pale pink. Inside of
robe has Kiku(chrysanthemum) design by Shu(red) color. It weight 8 lbs. The
condition of Uchikake very good. There is a couple of dark small spot at the
rightside of front Uchikake as last photo showing. Dating from 1960-1970's.
I just opend from the package. I had stored away last 20 years. The colors
are brilliant as original colors. I used for this robe as background of my
friend Cloisonne artist exhibition. This is one of best looking Uchikake
ever seen. The wrincle showing in photo is because of just opened after 20 years later. It will be gone if you hand the robe while.
