| The size of Covered Bowl: 4 1/2" Dia x 3" High. Pretty Japanese Ko Imari Sometsuke Porcelain Covered Bowl from 18th century. The cover and bowl has inside with Sho Chiku Bai in rounded design in center. The rim area with Hanbishi design. The bowl and cover made from fine quality porcelain. It has also Sho Chiku Bai(Pine, bamboo, and plum tree) design outside nicely painted. It is marked on both cover and bowl with different type marking. The condition of Bowl and cover are excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline as well as none scratch. The cover rim has little bit of Hittsuki(sand stick). One iron spot inside cover. One original kiln spot outside foot rim with glazed. Dating from Middle Edo(Edo Chuki), 1750-1790. | |||||||||||
