| The size of Bowl: 6" Dia x 1 1/2" High. Very Fine Japanese Ko Imari Sometsuke Porcelain Bowl. The bowl is made by fine quality porcelain with fine glazing. The body is made with fine wall very evenly and finer thickness. The top rim has slightly curved out which make nice contour. The deisng of Hiryu(flying dragon, or winged dragon) is painted very nicely with Sometsuke. Fine brush strokes. It has fire design on the back. It is marked Tai Min Nensei. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. There are some spots of glaze repelled on surface and little bit on the back. It is nature of this kind work sometime. It is not damage. It is born this way. No scratch and no wear on the top. The bowl was kept very good condition. The bowl sit little bit wobble due to the foot rim very slight off. Dating from Edo Chuki to Kouki, 1780-1800. This is very last bowl we have. | |||||||||||
