The size of Yatate: 7 1/4" Long x 1 1/4" Widest x 1 1/2" High. Beautifully silver inlaid Ryumondo Bronze Yatate. Yatate is made with Red Copper Bronze. It has very nice detail silver inlaid with dragon design on the ink cover, side of ink well and bottom of ink well, also top of handle with raimon(thunder) design. The condition of Yatate excellent. There are some tiny wear dent around Yatate. There are some Sumi ink spots around. It has the signature of Ryumondo who was the fine Yatate, other Tetsubin artist(maker) in Edo to Meiji. Dating Yatate from late Edo to early Meiji period. |
