| Nice shape and pretty Japanese Blue and White Ko Hirado Bowl. The size of Bowl: 5 7/8" Dia x 1 5/8" High. The bowl was made from fine grade porcelain body with nice detail work of Sometsuke gosu works. It has four section on the rim area with landscape design. The background with blue underglaze deep blue, dami work. The center of bowl with landscape with figure of wisemen and his deciple holding long piece(scroll?). Nice gradation sometsuke works. Back side with nice work as well. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline, as well as very little wear and no flaw. The bowl sit well. It is marked with "Gyoku Sho Do". Dating from mid 19c, late Edo to early Meiji. | ||||||||||
