| The size of Plate: 7 1/4" Dia x 1 1/2"High. Pretty Japanese Blue and White Porcelain Plate. The plate has Ho-O design in fine brush work. The below, there is Buddha hand and cherry flowers. The shape of plate is also nicely done with Rinka(flower petal). The Top rim area with geometric design and chrythanthemum design. So as the center plate with Tai-Min-Seika-Nensei. Outside has Karakusa design carefully painted. The shape of plate is little bit off. The condition of plate is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. There are little shady ring which from firing mark in the kiln, and not much noticeble. Dating from Tenpo-early Meiji(1840-1880). There is marking on the back which can not read. Same design piece is listed on Shibata collection Complete Catalog #4147. I have attached photo copy of that page. | |||||||||||
