| The size of Bowl 5 1/2" Dia(6 1/4" Cross point) x 2 3/8". Very Fine and rare Japanese Satsuma Bowl. The bowl has satsuma crackle satsuma body with mat finish black background like Komae color. It has wonderful detail work of Plum design with Gosu blue tree trunk. Left side tree is Tsubaki(camelia). The outside bowl has bamboo design. There are two sparrow finely painted. The flower petal are done in thick gold finish. It is wonderful condition, no chip, no crak and no hairine. Excellent gold condtion. It is marked Hattori Zo(made), Chikuzan. Chikuzan is artist who painted the design. The body is made by Hattori. Dating from late Edo to Meiji. 19c. | |||||||||||||||
