| The size of Plate: 9 3/8" Dia x 1 7/8" High. Beautiful Japanese Kutani Porcelain Charger. Charger has beautiful detail design with fine gold works of Kuge design. Kuge is imperial family subject from Kyoto. Imperial palace used located in Kyoto 1300 years until Shogun returned their leadership to Emperor in Meiji period. This charger has the design of Gosho Guruma(imperial wheel) and imperial family playing scene at seashore. Very well painted with detail works of each figure, kimono in the square qindow. There are Marumon design donw ith gold and red around the plate and Susuki design with gold. It is nice size plate. Backside has pretty decoration as well. The condition of plate is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. There is marking of Kutani and another studio or artis name. Okamoto or Miyamoto(first kanji letter can not read exactly because of stylized Kanji). None scratch, gold kept well. One pinpoint spot at below pine tree. Dating from Meiji period, 1868-1912. | ||||||||||||
