The Sheet Size: 24 1/2" W x 30 1/4" L The size of Image: 24" W x 26 5/8" L The subject: Dutch Interior 1 This is most unusual discovery of early edition of silk screen work of Joan Miro(1893-1983). The original painting is in MOA(Modern Art Museum in New York). The print method is very early work of silkscreen as you can see from many close up photo on item # . It is printed on heavy paper which the each color built up on the paper. You can see the texture of silkscreen mesh on the work. The provenance of silk screen from Hunt family in Dallas. I have purchased this very unique unusual silkscreen from one of antique dealer in Dallas. He told me he purchased from Hunt family at estate sale. The date of silkscreen done around after Miro Painted original one. The workemenship is so precisely done as original painting. I am giving the book of miro which show Dutch Interior 1 with this art work. The condition of silkscreen excellent, except one little area on guitar has little rubbed area. Upper right corer with a minor spot. The back side paper center area had a little old part paper surface off. The printer is unknown. However, I believe it is done by one of Joan Miro's atelier. |
