| The size of Bowl 5 1/2" Dia x 2 3/4" High. Very Unusual Japanese Hirado Porcelain Bowl. The bowl is made from fine quality porcelain. It has three flower petal rim with nice works of shell like finish at the lower bowl with brown(iron unglazed spot work) and green enamel. The lower are has very pale green glazing(celadon type) color. It has very nice peony(botan) and Karakusa design done line Kakiemon work detail painting. The foot rim is also very well done with three foot as well as round foot rim insde. The inside bowl has orchid design at one side with red and gold work. Most unusual bowl ever seen. Nice deep bowl. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. Dating from Edo Kouki(late Edo), 1840-50. This is last bowl we have. | ||||||||||||
