| The size of Kiseru-Zutsu: 7 1/2"L x 1" W x 7/8" H. This is very fine rare Japanese Antique Staghorn carving design of Kiseru-Zutsu with The style of Kiseru-zutsu, Aikuchi. Two Foo Dogs with Pine tree flower and water fall scenery in three dimensional. Carving taking the 3/4 space of whole staghorn area which leave only 1/4 area on the back. Well deep carving as you can see from the close up photo. It is signed by "HIDEYUKI" artist(carver). Kiseru-Zutsu also called Kiseru-Ire. It has a hole for string going thru.(Himo-doshi). The cap fit perfectly. Material is stag horn. The condition of Pipe case in excellent condition. There are two minor hariline from age worn at the end of pipe where the cap insert as photo#9 and #10. Cap close very tight with metal notch show. From 19th Century, end of Edo to Meiji period. | |||||||||||||||
