| The size of Koro: 4" Dia x 5 1/2" High. Very pretty Japanese Ki-Seto Koro by Kato Touzaburo. The koro is made by Ki(yellow) Seto which is ceramic, crackle glazing and finish. The artist is Kato Touzaburo who is 31st generation in Seto. His ancester first Kagemasa who traveled to China in Teiou 2nd() and returned to Seto who introduced Seto Yaki. 2nd Tono Shirobei is one created Ki-Seto Yaki(ware). Kato Touzaburo 3lst born in 1948 Showa 23rd. He was named 31st Touzaburo in 1991, Heisei 3rd. His works has been collected well in Jpan. He has many one man show in Japan. Koro came with Kiri(paulownia wood) tomobako. It is signed on the bottom with Touzaburo's "To". Tomobako has writing of Ki Seto, Koro and 31st Tozaburo signed and his seal. The condition of Koro excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. Dating from around 1980-1990's. | |||||||||||||||
