| The size of frame: 30 3/4"(78 cm) L x 17 1/4"(44 cm) H, The size of Fan: 18 1/2"(47 cm) L x 6 7/8"(17 cm) H. The fan painting from Genroku Period(around 1700), Edo Chuki(middle Edo). It is actual painted fan removed and mounted in the frame. The subject of one scene from Tale of Genji, not clear which scene. The wooden frame is mulberry tree(Kuwa). There is plexiglass with frame. The background with silk mat. The condition of painting very good except some age wear, some pigment as well as gold wear out as photo showing. The painting done on gold paper. | |||||||||||||||
