The size of Covered Bowl: 4 11/16" Dia x 3 3/4" High. Japanese Sometsuke Ko Imari Porcelain Covered Bowl. Nice shape and good quality covered bowl with Dragon design. The design inside cover and bowl is unusual one. Teh design of dragon and clouds are painted finely with good brush works. It is marked Taimin Nensei. The condiiton of covered bowl is very good, no chip, no crack and no hairline. One little Kamahi(kiln flaw) at the edge of foot rim. Please note that the cover does not stay well except photographed positon because of cover is little off round. Dating from Bunka Bunsei Period, late Edo, 1804-1829. |
