| The size of Plate: 7" Dia x 1 3/8". Beautiful, fine enamel and gold work Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Plate. The plate is kind little deep. The design of plate in Kiku (Chrysanthemum) Patterns in four different design on each petal. One with Waving, next with square pattern, third one with gourd design with gold background, fourth one with pine leaf pattern. Each pattern are well painted with gold, red, green and white lines. Each line are painted with very fine brush lines of enamel and gold which gold line are not showing well in photo because of angle. The center of plate with fence design with green and red plus, deeep cobalt blue under glaze. Same deep blue are outside of Kiku design with gold Karakusa design. Outside plate has Karakusa design in blue underglaze as well as gold over glue underglaze with I never seen. The condition of plate is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline, as well as no scratch and no wear of gold also no enamel. One of prettiest plate I ever seen. On of three size, this is Small Plate. The plate is marked with AO. Dating from 1830-1850 mid 19c. | ||||||||||||||
