Attractive Japanese Cherry Tree Bark Chataku Set

The Size of each Chataku : 4 3/8" Widest x 7/8" H. 4 mm thick. This very nice Handmade Japanese Chataku (tea cup saucer) Set of 5 pcs made of Sakura (cherry tree) Bark. Each Chataku has put two bark together. It is very unique and nice for Chataku. The condition of each Chataku excellent. It came with little Chataku information in Japanese. Cherry Tree Bark craft has been created done since last 200 years from Tenmei period at Kaku-Nodate's castle master Satake's sponcership where today's Akita prefecture. The Cherry bark are used in famous Shosoin (Nara's national treasure warehouse) item. They are used in many tea utensils item such as Tea Caddy and others. The box of Chataku is not made for Chataku, but it is nicely fit. Please note Chataku has clear lacquer finish which make glossy finish surface as well as on the back. The side of Chataku has black lacquer finish. Chataku never been used. It is about 30 years old from 1990's vintage item.
