Fine Japanese Lacquer Tray w/Karakusa, Bird and Sakura Dsn 19c

The size of Lacquer Tray: 12 5/8" L x 8" W x 1 1/4" H. Pretty Japanese Antique Roiro(black) Lacquer Tray (Obon). The side of tray has beautiful detail Karakusa pattern. The center of tray with Sakura (Cherry blossoms) with bird (Uguisu) in gold. The shape of tray is little different than normal tray. The center area of each side are little rounded rather than straight lines. It is purposely made that way. The this tray was used for tea ceremony to present sweet. The thickness of tray are in 1/8" finely made. The condition of tray excellent for the age except noting left side bottom joint (side panel and bottom panel joint) and left side panel joint has been restored inside and outside due to the age. It is hardly noticed from top. The surface has little wear but not much. The tray has very little wobble due to slight friction of warp on bottom. It is very minimum. Dating from Meiji period 1868-1912.
