The size of Plate: 8 3/4" Dia x 1 1/2". Very pretty Japanese Imari Plate. The Plate has beautiful detail works of blue and white underglaze by Inban (very intricated hand finished stamp work), Inban was already used in early Imari pieces. Very intricately worked around the center of plate with the design of Karako(chinese children). The children's movement is well expressed. The border has very detail painstakingly done work too. Unusual one. The condition of plate is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. Please note, the foot rim has Kamadashi-ato, original kiln marking spots when remove from kiln's stand, nothing damage. Very little wear, actually almost none. Plate sit well. Wonderful example of Inban work. Dating from mid 19 th century, late Edo 1850's.
