Rare Original Work #5 by World Renown, Zeka Marquez

The size of work: 12 3/4 x 9 7/8. This is another small Zeka’s work with more abstract forms than other one. This work also has other drawing form on darker area They are intentionally painted with different tone pigment. Again, it is very interesting. It is pained with black paint on Aquarellpappe (thick Wator color paper board). This work has also dated 1982, October 18th, done in Munich, Germany at his age 24 years old before he got busy career as Ballroom designer as well as World socialite stage, Although, it is not signed, I guarantee the authenticity of this work with other his collection presenting. The condition of work excellent. Little edge finish since it has been cut. Please note the board is very square.

This is one of his Original work I have obtained in 1991 as group. This is very first time showing after 27 years stored away. As Zeka Marquez is world famous Ballroom designer including Brazil’s most successful carnival ball at Copacabana Palace he has been doing many years. Please see very impressive his career works. Sanai is proudly presenting his work first time in art world I believe. I have searched on the Internet but I never found his original work are for the sale. Although, I have seen one of his work in website recently. The subject of work is very sensual form design which is very unique.

Zeka Marquez ( 1958- ), was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, founded the Theater of Illusion at age 13, studied engraving, drawing and painting. As a boy, he went to São Paulo to design exclusive prints for the famous Rodhia parades, and since then he has never stopped. No one can imagine the carnival ball at Copacabana Palace , the most traditional in Brazil, without immediately thinking of Zeka Marquez : it is he who signs the commented, chic and creative decoration of the party for almost 20 years. Marquez is a multiple artist: poet and designer. He lived in Rio, lived in New York, lived in Paris and currently lives in Biarritz , southern France. Zeka has already decorated parties for Baron Alexis de Redé , has made head arrangements for Grace Kelly, has decorated dances such as the American Cancer Society and Unicef with Audrey Hepburn . His list of friends always featured names ranging from Placido Domingo to Margot Fontayn , from Oscar de la Renta to Rudolf Giuliani (former mayor of New York). Usually comes to the Country only once a year, exclusively for this commitment: the Gala Ball of the Cup . There, the artist's creativity is unlimited, perhaps in the only scenario in Rio to carry everything he thinks and creates: praise until the next year, when he comes back and everything resumes.
