Beautiful Japanese Chawan Set of 5 pcs by Mukunoki Eizo

The size of each Chawan: 5 5/16” Dia x 2 15/16” High. This is set of Chawan, Bowl set by renown Japanese potter, Mukunoki Eizo who is number one student of Kawai Kanjro (1890-1966). Each Chawan is made from thick and heavy stone ware type Tsuchi (clay). Each Chawan has the flower design done with Gosu blue and Ruriko (under glaze red) as well as iron color, in three under glaze. It came with Tomobako. The writing inside Tomobako cover has Japanese wiritng, “Hanae, Kumi Chawan” (flower design Chawan set). Eizo signature with his chop seal. The condition of Chawan set excellent. No check, no crack and no hairline other than original crackle glazing. Dating of Chawan set from 1970-1980’s.
