The size of Ivory carving: 7 3/8" High without stand, 8 1/2" High with stand. Very fine Chinese Ivory carving with the figure of girl dancing.. The workmenship is very best of kind with the quality as well as the fine expression of girl's face. The dancing form and movement of her cloth end
are wonderfully carved. Her smilling is exceptionally joyful and pleasant. The detail on fingers and palm of hand, even showing finger joint and lines in the palm. The fine lines of detail works of hairline are fantastic. The condition of carving excellent, other than there is minor restoration done on right thumb joint as my last photo showing which the people's hand and thumb finger's same joint. It not akward to see there because of real human's hand has the line there too. This will not taking away this wonderful rare exquite quality work of art. The tails of her hair has natural or aged color spots.
