Lovely Japanese Makuzu Kozan Bowl w/Jade Green Glazing

The size of Bowl: 9 1/4" Dia x 2 3/4" High. Very unusual Japanese Porcelain Bowl by Makuzu Kozan. The bowl body is made with white porcelain body with chocolate brown glazing as well as Imperial jade green glazing around the top rim area. It is very beautiful bowl. There is seal of "Kozan" on the back of bowl as last photo showing. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip no crack no hairline. Very little wear on inside bowl. There is a couple of glaze repelled spots on the side of foot rim. One little glaze repelled spot inside rim since they are heavy overglazed. Two spot on the side of foot rim locating exactly opposite each other which might be used for resting the bowl in the kiln by purpose. Green glazing are heavyly over. It is wonderful texture of glazing. After researching the glazing finish when the bowl was made, the bowl might be made in Kyoto area before Makuzu Kozan opened the studio in Yokohama. There is very similar glazing finished plate was made in Keio 3rd, 1867 exsisting. The bowl dating from Meiji period, 1868-1912.
