The condition of Drawing: Excellent.
The condition of Frame: Very good, some age wear on frame and glass as well as on cloth mat.
This is rare pencil drawing by Vincent Van Gogh.
It has Chair drawing by pencil on paper. Actual size of drawing
is size 8" x 5 3/8". The drawing is attached to another sheet paper
It has grey paper matte under cloth matte, which is very old.
Then modern matting placed over the grey sheet paper mat.
There is name/signature written in pencil, "Vincent V Gogh" on
this grey mat paper on lower right. This mat paper is away from
the drawing not attached to the drawing.
There is newspaper article attached on our other Van Gogh
drawing, "Room Sketch". I have made the copy and scanned copy downloaded in our
last photo. Since the auction tag has "BB" initial, this work might be the
one of those art works sold at Butterfields and Butterfields. They were auction house before Bonhams and Butterfileds.
The both drawing came out from same source and same frame used as well
as same auction kind auction tag attached. We do not know how old the
framed works is. I know at least 20 years old because I knew the owner of Gallery. The drawing is from local Art Gallery in Dallas closed after 30 years in the business. The original Gallery label is on the back of art frame, The artist : Attribution, Van Gogh. |
