| The size of Plate: 7 1/2" Dia x 1 1/4" High. Pretty Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Plate. The plate has the design of Ho-O(phoenix bird) and Kiri design in red and gold. There are siz sided shape which called Kiko(turtle shell) design in blue unerglaze accented with gold trim. There are also two other motif design. Outside has red bird design with vines. All nicely painted. The condition of plate very good, no chip, no crack and no hairline except noting there are several tiny spots where enamel works are flaked due to the aged. One little spot at rim which last photo showing is Kiln spot with original glazed and with gold. Little wear on the back. It has red flower marking on the back center whose maker marking. Well balanced plate. Dating the plate from end of Edo to Meiji(1850-1890). | |||||||||||||
