The size of Yu-Gama: 8 1/4" Dia x 7" to the top. Beautiful fine Japanese Cha Dougu, Yu-Gama(Hot water Kettle) made by Iron. Marugama(Round Kettle). The Iron kettle has, Ichimonji Style Cover, with fine finish knob. Kantsuki(the ring hole) is made of Tooyama design. Front Kettle side has the design of Hotei on the cart is pulled by Armoured worrier at the first followed by two boys. The design is raised. Otherside has two boys, one with drum on hand. The shape, texture of kettle, and the design on the kettle are finely and well composiiton which give fine looking exceptional piece. The condition of kettle is excellent, no water leak except rust inside from the age. The two iron rings are newer pieces. It came with Kiri Bako(Paulownia Wooden Box). Kettle dated from Meiji. It is rare to find this quality Tetsu(Iron) Yu-Gama. It weigh about 8 pounds with Box. Dating from Meiji to Early Taisho. |
