Seifu Yohei III (1850, Kiei 3rd, thru 1914, Taisho 3rd).
He was born in name of Okada family, when he was young man he wanted to become as the painter so he became the student of Tanomura Chokunyu in Osaka and studied Japanese painting and Nanga painting but he gave up as the painter because of his illness...

The size of Koro: 3 1/8” Dia x 2 1/2” High (top of Koro) without cover height.. This is rare Japanese Genroku Sometsuke Koro, Incense burner with Koro cover. Koro Cover is silver plated, not Jungin (sterling silver) with the design of clouds, open work. The Clouds on cover has been carved. TheCoveris not from Genroku period. but it is old. Koro came with Awasebako (fitting box). The Koro was made by Sometsuke, blue underglaze Karakusa (Chinese grass) design...

The size of Bowl: 7 1/2" Dia x 3 1/8" High. Most unusual and attractive Japanese Ko Imari Sometsuke Porcelain Bowl. The bowl is made from fine quality porcelain as well as the fine glazing. It has pretty design of Shiranuki design and flower design outside which used blank area with nice contrast. Shiranuki Design is special work on the design with blue background where white design area has the blue underglaze knocked out...

The size of Charger Bowl: 11" Dia x 2 1/8" High. Very unusual Japanese Ko Imari Blue and White , Sometsuke Charger Porcelain Bowl. The charger bowl was made in fine shape with very nice Kikusui (Chrysanthemum and water) design, very well put composition design. This type of Charger are hard find anymore. It has fine boldly line works. It has karakusa design on the backside. It has Tai Min Nen Sei (great Ming year made) marking on the back...

The size of Charger: 18 1/8"Dia x 2 1/4"High. Beautiful Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Charger. The charger has the Mountain Fuji scenery design on above window area with cranes flying over the mountains. The behind the Mountain Fuji scenery with swirling design of fine detail works of geometric design in green and red. Pretty underglaze blue with gold are among the design. The back side of charger has 12 Maru-mon design. The condition of charger is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline...

who was very first ceramist received prestigeous
membership of Teishitsu Gigeiin (Imperial Household
Artisan) in Meiji 26h, 1893 and other Seifu Yohei
generation including grand son...

My photos are showing only partial collection. So the best way to study
individual item will be obtaining exhibition catalog "Colors of Kyoto" written by
Dr. Shinya Maezaki and Dr. Sinead Vilbar. It will give you great insight of
Seifu Yohei’s process of their creation in Kyoto during those years...

35.5 cm x 22.5 cm, 11 cm top dia.
This very fine Japanese Porcelain Vase done with
Yomon (relief works, raised works) with pale yellow green glaze,
in design of Ho-O bird intricately done in Yomon(relief) works.
It is made same era of Seifu Yohei 4th. The vase
is very similar to Seifu. The vase is made from Taisho to Showa.
